You're signed up for Indystack AI and ready to get started, but you want to confirm the steps first, or follow along with a guide. No problem. In this article we'll go through all the steps to setup your first Indystack AI generated WordPress site.

Step 1 - Website Type

When you launch the AI tool your first opinion is to choose the website type.

Your first option is to choose Business or Blog.

Note: For this tutorial, we’ll be choosing the Business options - your settings may vary if choosing other options.


Business will tailor your site to be business orientated. If you want an e-commerce site or a simple business website to showcase your work, this is the option for you.

Blog, as the name implies, is for creating a site dedicated to blogging.

Click on the Continue button in the bottom right corner of the page to proceed.

Step 2 - Branding and Contact

Start by adding a title for your site in the Business/Project name section.

Next, upload a logo for your business. This field is not mandatory and can be updated later.


You also have the option to add contact information. Click that option and you’ll see all the details to add for your business.

All of these details will be visible on your website, such as in the contact page and in footer details.


Your email address will be automatically filled as your account email address. You can change it if necessary.

You can add a business contact phone number, address and all social media links. Facebook and Instagram are listed by default, simply click the Add social profile button to add more. Use the dropdown menu on the newly added listing to choose which social media platform you want to add.


Click the Continue button in the bottom right corner to proceed.

Step 3 - Website Topic

We will now provide the AI with some info to start building your site around.

In this section you’ll choose the Industry your business resides in, the primary language for the site, and a website description.

The Website description is just like a prompt on how you want your site built. The AI requires some guidance so be clear in your description and include all major areas to cover. There will be some auto-generated details here and you can use that to get an idea of how to write your prompt also.


When ready, click the Continue button in the bottom right corner of the page.

Step 4 - Website Purpose

Website purpose will be a major part of the layout for your AI generated website. The options are straightforward.

When ready to proceed, click the Continue button in the bottom right corner of the page.

Step 5 - Website Design

You will now be presented with 6 general site layouts. You will also set the primary colour for your site on this page.


If you want to use a custom colour, or choose more variety of colour options, click the + icon at the end of the displayed colour options and you’ll have the option to upload Hex colour code by default.


If you need other colour code options, click on Hex and a dropdown menu will appear with all your options.


If you want to see more design options, simply scroll to the bottom of the list and you’ll see a button labelled Generate more designs. This will generate another 6 style options to choose from.

Click once on the design you would like to start with, you will see it is shown as selected. Then click the Continue button in the bottom right corner of the page.

Step 6 - Website page

Now you’ll choose which pages to include in your website. You will be presented with the most common pages and can add more to the list also, as you need.


To add a new page to the list, click the + Add new page button and you’ll see a pop-up that asks the details for your new page.


Be sure to set an appropriate Page purpose as this will set the layout for that page.

When all your pages are set, click the Create site button in the bottom right corner of the page and let the magic happen.

You will get to see the page being built right before your eyes. The process shouldn’t take more than 5 minutes to complete.

Note: If you feel the process is taking too long and waited more than 5 minutes, please open a live chat session to troubleshoot further.

Step 7 - Finishing Touches

First out of 3 steps in finishing touches is picking the right hero image, if you don’t like the offered ones, you can type in new keywords and Indystack AI will find the new ones for you.


The second step will be to pick the Color Scheme or color palette for your website, the first one is based on the accent color you selected previously.


And the final step is selecting the typography for the website, there are already pre-made combinations of fonts for your website so it can look professionally built.


Click finish and your website will be live in just a few seconds.

Step 8 - Site Essentials

After a website is created, you’ll be taken to the Site Essentials page on your WordPress dashboard, all options and remaining AI tokens can be seen on this page.


There are multiple options available:

  1. Edit homepage which will take you to a Gutenberg editor to edit the homepage
  2. Add a new page if you need some extra pages, and you can pick if you would like Indystack AI to generate the page or you want to build the page manually
  3. If you missed to upload the logo or you want to change it, you can do that from site essentials
  4. Upload site icon (the small icon in your browser tab)
  5. Edit site title (the short text you can see in your browser tab)

Also, you can see the section Easy Access, from there you can change all the settings you selected during the site creation or simply restart the wizard and start building the website over by using AI, and also here you can see remaining tokens out of the initial 2000 provided.

Step 9 - Editing site and generating/re-generating content

Indystack AI offers a seamless experience for managing your website content. Whether you’re editing existing elements or generating fresh content, the process is designed to save you time and deliver high-quality results.

When it’s needed to generate the whole page or regenerate the section/block just open your default WP Gutenberg block editor.

By hovering over the button regenerate, you will be offered with 3 options:

  1. Surprise me - which will regenerate the section and content inside
  2. Hand pick a design - You will be offered with the completely new designs with the same content inside
  3. Regenerate content - Which will regenerate only the copy and you’ll be asked to write the prompt with explanation what you actually want to be inside the section copy wise.

Also, you generate the whole page by clicking the button Generate page.
